ModuleCo Healthcare on track to handover new modular theatre for Royal and Devon Exeter Trust

ModuleCo Healthcare has recently delivered a new state-of-the-art modular twin theatre and recovery suite to the former NHS Nightingale Hospital in Exeter.

The delivery and installation of the facility is a significant milestone in the scheme that will transform the former Nightingale Hospital. ModuleCo Healthcare are overseeing every stage of the project from order to handover, which will be later this year.

Once completed the new facility will help Trusts across Devon and the wider Southwest tackle the waiting lists created by the recent pandemic.

Our Managing Director, Alan Wilson, said, “We’re really proud to have been involved in this project. It was fantastic to see modular construction initially used in the build of some of the Nightingale Hospitals and to see it continue to be used to help reduce waiting lists is even better.

It’s been incredible to work alongside not one, but several NHS Trusts to deliver this bespoke healthcare facility. We are looking forward to officially handing over the theatre and recovery suite later this year.”

The Royal Devon and Exeter Trust have procured the facility via the NHS Shared Business Services framework on a 5-year hire agreement. Procuring the facility via a hire agreement means that no upfront capital is required, and no payment is made by the Trust until the final facility is handed over.
