About Project
Tunbridge Wells Hospital, part of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, faced increasing pressure on its existing parking facilities. Growing patient numbers combined with staff parking requirements created a significant strain on available spaces.
Following the success of ModuleCo’s project at Maidstone Hospital, the Trust approached ModuleCo Healthcare (MCH) in collaboration with our manufacturing partner Ballast Nedam to deliver a modular car park expansion designed to enhance accessibility and future-proof the hospital’s facilities.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a state-of-the-art, modular car park solution providing 173 additional spaces. The modular structure was prefabricated off-site in a controlled manufacturing environment, ensuring precision, minimising waste, and enabling a swift, efficient installation process. This approach significantly reduced on-site disruption, allowing the hospital to continue its essential operations without major interference.
ModuleCo Healthcare’s innovative modular construction method enabled Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to rapidly expand parking capacity while maintaining cost-effectiveness and efficiency. The project was delivered on time and within budget, providing immediate relief to parking congestion at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
The expansion has improved patient and visitor experience by enhancing accessibility and reducing parking-related delays. Staff have also benefited from increased parking availability, contributing to a more efficient and convenient working environment.
Our modular approach allowed us to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective solution in record time, ensuring that Tunbridge Wells Hospital could quickly benefit from improved parking capacity without significant disruption to its operations. The additional 173 spaces will greatly help overcome some of the challenges that both staff and patients had when looking to park at the hospital
