Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust faced a critical challenge in providing sufficient parking for staff, patients, and visitors at Maidstone Hospital. ModuleCo Healthcare, working closely with our manufacturing partner Ballast Nedam, were appointed to deliver a high-quality, modular car park solution within a tight timeframe.
Maidstone Hospital had a growing demand with limited spaces available which required an innovative approach to maximise efficiency without disrupting hospital operations. To not negatively impact the hospital’s day-to-day running a fast, efficient, and cost-effective solution was required to enhance accessibility, alleviate parking pressures, and future-proof the facility for further growth.

Our Solution
ModuleCo Healthcare designed and delivered a state-of-the-art, 2-storey modular car park, providing 203 additional spaces. The solution was prefabricated off-site in a controlled manufacturing environment, significantly reducing on-site disruption, minimising construction waste, and ensuring a faster, more efficient installation process.
ModuleCo Healthcare’s innovative modular approach enabled Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to rapidly expand its parking capacity with minimal disruption. The scheme was delivered on time and within budget, providing immediate relief to parking congestion at Maidstone Hospital.
The new modular car park has enhanced patient and visitor experience by improving accessibility and reducing parking-related delays. Additionally, staff have benefited from increased parking availability, contributing to a more efficient working environment.
